Are Your Charitable Gifts
Doing What you Want Them To Do?
Just as with other aspects of your financial
life, if you know where you are going,
it's more likely you'll get there. And
that’s where we come in. We will
help you to:
- Define and give focus to your giving
goals
- Identify giving opportunities in
line with those goals
- Construct a plan to ensure that your
gifts do the most good, and you get
the most good from your gifts.
Your Reason For Giving Are As Personal
As Your Handshake. It May Be To:
- Support the institutions important
to you and your family.
- Help make a difference in your community.
- Tackle a problem.
- Honor or remember a friend or relative.
- Publicly affirm you as a philanthropist.
- Fulfill a religious obligation.
- Be a model for your children or grandchildren.
- Reduce your tax liability.
- Or simply make yourself feel good,
knowing that you are doing good.
Matching Your Gifts With Your Goals:
How We Can Help
For your gifts to bring you much more
than just tax savings, they should align
with your personal, emotional, and spiritual
goals. Fulfilling these goals requires
forethought, discussion, research, review,
and follow-up.
The first step is an initial consultation to
help you identify your giving goals and
discuss how we can help you develop your Charitable
Giving Plan. This meeting normally
takes about two hours, and can be held
at your home or office (if you are in
the Boston area), or via telephone. During
this meeting, you will not be asked to
discuss your income, assets, nor the
specific amounts you may wish to give.
Based upon your specific requirements,
we will work with you to create the outline
for your Charitable Giving Plan.
For many, this initial process will
be sufficient to jumpstart your giving
program. You will find the outline useful
as a guide for discussion with your family,
giving partners, or financial advisors.

The Boy Scouts
-- and in particular my experiences at
Boy Scout camp -- played an integral part
is shaping who I am today. But I am not
comfortable with their current policies.
Gail helped me see that I could designate
my gift specifically for camperships.
Five boys who otherwise may not have been
able -- got the same enriching experience
this summer.

When my beloved
brother passed on, I wanted a tangible
reminder of something he would have enjoyed.
Though it was painful to talk about, Gail
was very sensitive and helpful. There
is now a lovely stone memorial in B.s
name, at a beautiful spot overlooking
the ocean he loved so much.

A newly-engaged young
couple called, explaining, “When we get married,
we want to share our joy. But with all
the planning that has to be done, we
don’t have a lot of extra time
for research.” We offered several
creative ideas, from lovely, useful centerpieces
they could donate to local shelters after
the reception, to a charity bridal registry,
to an organization that takes gently-worn
bridesmaids’ gowns and distributes
them to low-income girls to wear to their
proms.
